Case Study: Custom Adapter for 29 oz American Cartridges Developed in the SOPI Nozzle Design Lab
In the adhesive dispensing industry, compatibility between cartridges and application tools is critical for efficiency and precision. SOPI was approached with a challenge: to create a custom adapter that would allow 29 oz. American cartridges to be seamlessly used with our Flip’n’Spread spreader system.

I need a specific nozzle in small quantities, in fact only 150 pieces. Is it possible for you to develop it for me?
Our in-house R&D department allows us to deliver from a few pieces to several tens of pieces of nozzles for your functional testing. We can also supply you with quantities ranging from hundreds to several thousands of pieces for regular production.
Do I have to invest in a mould tool if I only need 5000 pieces in two years?
Based on your requirements for product precision, necessary chemical resistance, and type of dispensing system, we can find the optimal solution for you. By selecting the most suitable manufacturing technology, we can include all development costs in the product price.
Can you produce a custom-shaped nozzle using injection moulding technology with PEHD (Polyethylene) material for functional testing, even just 10 pieces?
Of course, functional testing is essential for complex challenges and final assessments. This way, we can ensure the desired nozzle meets all technical expectations.
I already use a mixing unit, but I need a special adhesive applicator at the end of the mixer, for which I haven't found a standard solution. Can you help me?
Of course, send us a sketch, explain the type of application you want, and provide a drawing or sample of the mixer you are using, along with the desired quantity. Our R&D team will study the project and create a custom-made solution jut for you.
I'd like to apply adhesive to industrial panels of various widths, between 600 and 1200 mm. The existing solution doesn't provide the flexibility for quick daily changes. Can you develop a cost-effective solution for me?
